Self-assisted Guide for Configuring INGENICO LANE 3000/5000

THIS IS YOUR SELF-ASSISTED GUIDE FOR CONFIGURING THE INGENICO LANE 3000/5000

STEP 1. CONNECT YOUR PINPAD DIRECTLY TO PC

Ingenico/3000 model – Start by plugging in the USB cable included with your terminal to a free USB slot on your PC.

Ingenico/5000 model – Start by plugging in the USB cable included with your terminal to a free USB slot on your PC. Then connect the small narrow end of the power adaptor to the power hub of the terminal and plug the other end of the power hub cable into your power socket.

STEP 2. INSTALL DRIVERS IN B2B POS

Go to File → Configuration → POS Equipment tab → Select your Lane model (3000/5000) from the drop-down list → hit Apply → Confirm installation of drivers by ‘Yes’ → hit Oback in POS → Confirm to restart your PC (it is mandatory to ensure the terminal works properly with the POS after the installation steps are completed).




STEP 3. CONFIGURE IN WEB POS 

Go to Settings → Device Settings → Hit +Add Device in the top right corner → Hit Terminals → Press ●●● opposite to your Lane model (3000/5000) → hit About Device → Choose COM 8 from the drop-down list → hit Add Device → Click Done on the confirmation window ‘Device was successfully installed’.


 
     
                                                  

STEP 4. CHECK PIN PAD POWER SETTINGS 

Please check pin pad power settings and PC overall power management to avoid connectivity issues:
- Go to the Windows search bar or Cortana and search for Device Manager
- Open Device Manager> right click on "USB Root Hub" and choose Properties


- Click on the tab "Power Management" and uncheck the option "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power" Then hit OK.



- Repeat the above steps for all USB Root Hubs listed in Device Manager.
- PC power management adjustment: Go to Power and Sleep and make sure everywhere for Screen and Sleep 'Never' option is selected. Then click on Additional power settings:

 

- In Additional power settings new window ‘Put the computer to sleep’ on the battery and plugged in should be set to ‘Never'. In Advanced power settings please ‘Disable’ USB selective suspend settings.
- Hit Apply and OK to save changes
