How to Setup Link2500 Terminal

To get started using your Link2500 with your POS there are two things you need to do:

  1. Connect the Link2500 to your Wi-Fi network.

  2. Configure your POS to use the LInk2500 for credit/debit card transactions.

 

Step 1 - Connect the Link2500 to Wi-Fi

1. Power on the terminal by pressing & holding the Green Button.
      a. The terminal will take a minute or two to boot up.
      b. When you see this screen, you are ready to proceed to step 2.




2. Access the admin menu by pressing quickly in order: 2 6 3 4 and then F on the terminal’s keypad.

3. Press the down arrow (F3) on the terminal until you reach the Control Panel option, then press the Green Button.



4. Press the down arrow (F3) on the terminal until you reach the Terminal Settings option, then press the Green Button.



5. Press the down arrow (F3) on the terminal until you reach the Comm means option, then press the Green Button.



6. Press the down arrow (F3) on the terminal until you reach the Wi-Fi option, then press the Green Button.



7. Press the down arrow (F3) on the terminal until you reach the Scan networks option, then press the Green Button.



8. Press the down arrow (F3) on the terminal until you reach the Wi-Fi network you want to connect to, then press the Green Button.
      a. Note: This does not need to be the same network that your POS is connected to.

9. Using the F1 - F4 buttons enter your Wi-Fi network’s password, press the Green Button to enter the selected character.
      a. F1 - Left
      b. F2 - Up
      c. F3 - Down
      d. F4 - Right
      e. Note: The Yellow Button can be used to delete the previously entered character.

10. After entering in the password, select the Green Button, then press the Green Button.

11. The Wi-Fi symbol in the upper left-hand corner will turn green when the terminal has successfully connected to the Wi-Fi.

12. Press the Red Button to exit the admin menu.


Step 2 - Configure your POS

1. Launch your POS on either the PC or the iPad.
2. After logging in, select Settings > Device Settings from the left side bar menu.
3. Select Add Device.
4. Select Terminals.
5. Select Internet.



6. From the list of terminals, select Ingenico Link 2500.



7. Your terminal will be listed with a status of Connected. Select this terminal.



8. Select Add Device.




You are now ready to use your Link2500 for credit/debit card transactions!
